Hi everyone! Since the lockdowns due to the COVID-19 pandemic started, we’ve seen a huge number of newcomers joining r/goodnews. Warm greetings to all of you! I hope each one of you has a great day with as much good news as you can handle.
Many of you have started sharing good news content that you’ve created yourselves: YouTube channels, podcasts, websites and blogs, and so on. To provide a space for you to advertise your creations, **we’re starting regularly scheduled “what’s new” threads for content creators**. The [first of these](https://www.reddit.com/r/goodnews/comments/gdnd6t/whats_new_content_creators_may_2020/) should come online ~~when this post is around one hour old~~ now, lol.
Here’s how these threads will work:
* **Creators can freely advertise/link to their content in these threads**, as long as that content reports on good news and abides by the rest of our subreddit’s rules.
* **Feedback from** r/goodnews **readers is welcome!** Please reply to your favourite content creators and give them an upvote.
* **Links to main pages of websites/channels will now be restricted to these threads.** That is, if you post a link to the main page of your YouTube channel, podcast, or website outside of the regular thread (i.e. in the main post list of r/goodnews), it will be deleted. This is just to help us keep the main post list filled up with nice, relevant good news rather than advertisements.
* **Links to specific articles/episodes are still okay anywhere in the subreddit.** That is, if you post a link to the newest episode of your show or the newest article outside of the regular thread (i.e. in the main post list of r/goodnews), that’s still OK. However, feel free to participate in the “what’s new” threads too, to help generate more buzz!
