Scientists discovered even a toddler (18m old) can be altruistic

In an experiment with toddlers around their feeding time a banana was dropped on the floor. As soon as the scientist reached for the banana, every third toddler helped getting it back, although they can be assumed to have been hungry, too.

This gives me a lot of hope, especially since I deal with a lot of egoistic people during the day.
